JENAVENE HESTER is a New York based actress best known for appearing in the National Tours of both HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS and THE SOUND OF MUSIC.
Jenavene was born and raised in Abilene, Texas before moving to New York City in 2009. She grew up performing on stage, as both of her parents teach and perform in the arts. She holds a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Abilene Christian University and went on to train further at New York's CAP21. She married her best friend and college sweetheart in 2010. Right after their honeymoon, Jenavene and her husband had the opportunity to tour the country together spreading holiday cheer in HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS before Jenavene went on to appear at NYMF'S GREENWOOD and MOTHER DIVINE, BABES IN TOYLAND at Lincoln Center, and THE SOUND OF MUSIC (Paper Mill Playhouse & National Tour). Jenavene also had the honor of workshopping the new Jason Robert Brown musical THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY (dir. Bartlett Sher) as the role of 'Carolyn', daughter of Kelli O'Hara's 'Francesca.' Jenavene also works as a voiceover artist, most recently appearing as the voice of 'Kelli the Popstar' for the animated television show "SUPERWINGS!" She can be seen regularly in commercials and print campaigns around the country and works regularly as an independent singer/songwriter. |
